Since 2008, the Engineering Center and the School of Environmental Sciences of Harbin Institute of Technology have cooperated to recruit on-the-job students to study for the master's degree of "Municipal Engineering".
The discipline has formed five research fields, namely, water supply and drainage theory and technology, wastewater treatment theory and technology, building water supply and drainage engineering system and its optimization, and urban solid waste treatment theory and technology.
